Several years ago when I was working at the Kansas House of Representatives there was debate about how much money the state was losing from electric cars paying less taxes in Gasoline revenue. After hearing from all of the car makers and sellers it was discovered that there are actually very few real electric cars on the road. It's why JCCC removed ALL of the plug ins. Turns out, electric cars suck. Maintaining an infrastructure for an imaginary need is a complete waste of money.
